  • karo: I've been busy doing this Summer School for Access to Uni thing.  For the past week or two I have had at least one big essay per week(by big I mean 1500 words, so not massive but still a fair bit for a weekly essay) got one due Monday this week and another due Friday

  • Triss: A group of us from the LARP society I'm part of decided to put on a role-playing convention, catering to roleplayers of all types from tabletop to LARP, so we got in a whole load of traders and people promoting their groups and stuff. There's quite a big, active RP community in the north-east, so we thought we'd tap into that. So 'Nerd East' was born! Cheesy

+==== Rules ====+

Be careful when posting spoilers - avoid them entirely if the spoiled content hasn't aired yet in the UK or use spoiler tags when available. Be aware of other members who may have already posted in the thread saying they have yet to see an episode.

While critical conversation is encouraged, please do not directly attack members for their tastes.

+==== Content ====+

Discussing of pretty much anything you see on the tellybox - tv shows, movies, soaps, reality TV, documentaries, whatever - along with links to flash movies you've seen online, or links to things on YouTube and the like.

+==== Area Description ====+

Just down from the sanctuary, rammed up next to the Punk Ethic Publishing building, lies a tatty old building with a sign above it that once said “The 4th Wall Theatre”, with most of the lights now dead, leaving it as “The Wall”. It's backed up against a white brick wall now greying to match the colour of the concrete keeping it together, that extends all the way past the publisher's building before being lost beyond the looming silhouettes of abandoned shops.
Inside the theatre, the lobby is deserted, but the sickly sweet smell of theatre food still rises up from the counters, and a schedule scrolls down constantly across monitors hanging from the ceiling. Down from there, stairs lead to theatres labelled things like 'YouTube' and 'A Friend's House'.
Every hall is deserted, and inside the theatres only the odd few people lounge across the seats or throw popcorn at each other, complaining about the ads and prices and either screaming if you walk in at the good bit, or demanding you sit down and watch it. Some of them have remotes.
