• karo: I've been busy doing this Summer School for Access to Uni thing.  For the past week or two I have had at least one big essay per week(by big I mean 1500 words, so not massive but still a fair bit for a weekly essay) got one due Monday this week and another due Friday

• Triss: A group of us from the LARP society I'm part of decided to put on a role-playing convention, catering to roleplayers of all types from tabletop to LARP, so we got in a whole load of traders and people promoting their groups and stuff. There's quite a big, active RP community in the north-east, so we thought we'd tap into that. So 'Nerd East' was born!

Okay, hey everyone, and welcome to the forum!

Before you post, we like to know who you are, so we don't end up going 'OMGUPR0NHACKZOR I TAK NU CANDY FROM U'. Or just wondering who the heck y'are.

So, to help you guys out, we have some rules to making your own topic.

- MAKE A NEW TOPIC. Don't go introducing yourself on somone else's topic. It's theirs. Not yours. If somone else posts, it isn't as special, and we like special.

- We don't need to know your real name. Unless you really want too. Nicknames are fine, especially if you have a long username, or even if you have a short one. We're all lazy typists here.

- NO PERSONAL PHOTOS. No please. If you have an online persona, then sure, I'd like to see what it is, but any personal photos will be removed. Sorry 'n all.

- State your gender. If this seriously puts you off, you don't have to, but it does help if you do so people don't end up calling boys girls and vice versa.

- Interests are cool. It's nice to know what people are into.

- Where are you guys/gals from? Again, if you don't want to say, you don't have too, but it is cool to see where everyone's from.

- Try to be imaginative. I like topics and posters that have a good-natured, humerous way of introducing themselves.
