• karo: I've been busy doing this Summer School for Access to Uni thing.  For the past week or two I have had at least one big essay per week(by big I mean 1500 words, so not massive but still a fair bit for a weekly essay) got one due Monday this week and another due Friday

• Triss: A group of us from the LARP society I'm part of decided to put on a role-playing convention, catering to roleplayers of all types from tabletop to LARP, so we got in a whole load of traders and people promoting their groups and stuff. There's quite a big, active RP community in the north-east, so we thought we'd tap into that. So 'Nerd East' was born!

my tip for the blue screen

when you restart after it happens and you get the 'this system has recovered from a serious error - send error report' box, click 'send error report'. i had a blue screen come up occasionally for ages, and i always ignored the dialog after restarting. but then i actually did what it was asking me, and it solved the problem (by updating a driver)

maybe that doesnt help, but im in a mood for dishing out random advice today...

And yeah, MS error report is actually pretty decent when it comes to figuring out the cause of problems, I've used it before. Didn't come up for this error, though. o.o;;

The PC world folkies were very helpful when it came to getting a new DVD drive... o_o But it took ages, so I read the entire Pokemon Emerald Game Manual for my Pokefreak friend. Couldn't look at a gameboy for days.
