• karo: I've been busy doing this Summer School for Access to Uni thing.  For the past week or two I have had at least one big essay per week(by big I mean 1500 words, so not massive but still a fair bit for a weekly essay) got one due Monday this week and another due Friday

• Triss: A group of us from the LARP society I'm part of decided to put on a role-playing convention, catering to roleplayers of all types from tabletop to LARP, so we got in a whole load of traders and people promoting their groups and stuff. There's quite a big, active RP community in the north-east, so we thought we'd tap into that. So 'Nerd East' was born!

(I like, did a system restore, and it's all 'YAY SYSTEM RESTORE WILL HEAL YOUR PC!' and I'm like 'YAY!' and then I booted up and there are these THINGS on my desktop like Intervideo WinCinema Manager and Napster and LEARN ABOUT WANADOO AND ADOBE READER AND A.O.L. ANNNNNNNNNNYTIME! I DON'T WANT AOL ANYTIME! I DON'T WANT IT EVAAAAAAAAAR! I CAN'T FIND UNINSTALL FOR ANY OF IT! OH DEAR LORD AAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGH!)

Exhausted.

Because the world is stupid, I ended up being forced to scan, crop, change file type, and transfer to disk the photos for the Nairn Academy yearbook, because I'm the onyl one in bleedin' Aultbea Publishing who cna use a computer and I don't even get a daily wage. Instead, I have to scan something like a KAJILLIONFRIZZUM photos while like, ill. With a high temp. Coughing her lungs out.
And Nairn's all like 'NYEEEH WE WANNA REEL OF FILM BEHIND THE PHOTOS!' and I'm like 'SCREW YOU GUYS YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT GOES ON BEHIND THE SCREEN!' and it's all... gyeeeeeeeh. And nobody even told me the required dimensions, or the file types, or what.tha.heck.I'm.supposed.to.be.doing, but apparantly Aultbeas doesn't have a scanner and even if they did, they wouldn't know how to use it. Fact.
Nobody respects the slave labourers. Or me. I DON'T GET SICK LEAVE! Plus, it's stupid making a book about how much j00 miss you skewl oh fuzzum muzzum sniff when you're leaping out the doors, singing and burnig textbooks. Prats. PITY THE THIRD YEAR WHO'S DOING ALL YOUR WORK WHILE YOU END THE TORTURE!
