• Triss: A group of us from the LARP society I'm part of decided to put on a role-playing convention, catering to roleplayers of all types from tabletop to LARP, so we got in a whole load of traders and people promoting their groups and stuff. There's quite a big, active RP community in the north-east, so we thought we'd tap into that. So 'Nerd East' was born!

Okay, there's a pretty cool site about right now called last.fm. You sign up, and download a plugin, and it keeps a record of every song you play and sends them to the site when you connect. Over on thwe site, it takes all your songs, and makes charts of you top artists altogethor and for the week, your top tracks, links you to members with similar tastes, recommend music you might like the sound of, and gives you access to the uber-sexy last.fm 'currently playing' signatures. I'm pretty sure they're the reason a load of people join. They're just that good.

So yeah, the one bad thing about last.fm is the supremely small amount of guys I know on it. D: SO I'M ATTEMPTING TO FIX THAT.

(Also, the more cool people I know on last.fm, the easier it is to ignore all the elite and bitchy folks. XD)
