• Triss: A group of us from the LARP society I'm part of decided to put on a role-playing convention, catering to roleplayers of all types from tabletop to LARP, so we got in a whole load of traders and people promoting their groups and stuff. There's quite a big, active RP community in the north-east, so we thought we'd tap into that. So 'Nerd East' was born!

Randomly swinging towards bands I feel have 'musical merit' more than just 'music I enjoy' (MCR's a slight exception, the only merit I'd grant them is lyrics, lead guitar, and occasional vocals or maybe drums... but I wouldn't consider them in the same kind of 'expertly composed' merit I give to NIN and Muse).

Placebo is an iffy one. Love 'em, but I also love HIM, AFI, the Used, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, the Smiths, 30STM, the Matches... yeah. A lot of bands to choose from, but I'm being conflicted over the amount of listens/musical merit/public love when deciding my likes, which isn't so good. 5th place is very iffy atm.

It was a toughy for the top two spots but I think Muse just won, mainly because of their appeal 24/7 when with BN it dies after listening to the fifty millionth time. Also I ordered a ton of Brand New Merch a few weeks ago... it hasn't come yet. I am unimpressed. See my face ---->
