There's quite a big, active RP community in the north-east, so we thought we'd tap into that. So 'Nerd East' was born! Cheesy

Network security isn't illegal.

Same as learning how to pick locks isn't illegal. Locksmiths know how to.

yeah but I am sure I heard somewhere if you looked up how to do it you can get arrested.  Like making viruses. Though viruses will probably be pretty simple.  Probably something like

if recycling bin is opened
then shut down pc

or something.  Just worded differently.

You can't be arrested for looking it up.

Big software companies are fairly infamous for recruiting those who have hacked their stuff to work for them and prevent such security flaws. Knowing how to hack is fairly essential to programmers - and it's learnt naturally, even unintentionally - if you can create it, you'll know how to bring it down.

(And if you don't, you're asking for evil-machine-on-the-rampage trouble in your future)

it's just all about knowing how the pc and the program works isn't it?

They have gatherings and everything to discuss how to do it.

Doesn't that answer your question about it's legality, now?

iTunes and my Skullcandy HESH have got my goat today.

Skulldcandy do gorgeous in-ear and larger, beautifully designed 'phones that have great quality sound and materials for a good price - they can rival by Sennheisers (admittedly, from the lower end of their pricey ranges) any day.

However, listening via iTunes is giving me really damped vocals. I hate problems with sound levels - I only ever get them on cheap headphones, which is rubbish bass that I can usually tune out, but it always bothers me when I get problems annoying enough to atract my notice. x_X And I get them with iTunes fairly often - though rarely with the iPod.

Secondly, the lack of digital artists who seem interested in apparel design. I love the industry, I browse clothes magazines all the time just to take a look at some of the most recent shirt designs, and it bothers me that I can't find anyone else who would be willing to work with me to create products for Punk Ethic, or good tutorials for how to do such stuff myself.

Getting a tip off about a cheap book/DVD store called 'The Works'
Heading onto their website and typing in the first half of my postcode to get the nearest outlet to me.
Getting this message back: Distance to store:- 78.63 miles

Kindof defeats the purpose a bit...

Oh yeah...there's one in Gretna Green that I go to every time I go down south (since we always stop in Gretna). The range isn't very good though.

My gripe of the day: I had to sit through two hours of UCAS form explanation meeting although I have already completed mine. Gr.

First part is bang on. Second part was actually 'And I've been thinking in french all day and now it's difficult to not think about grammer.'

But, hey, I just got cheered up by this:

not suitable for those who don't like blood (there's a fair bit) or horror. I know you should never find murderers attractive, but mon dieu Keith-Lee Castle is alluring as a blood-drinking, raxor-weilding nutter. He's slowly shuffling out of 'weirdly attractive' and into just 'attractive'. And I'm claiming this as relevant as I've promised myself the Urban Gothic box-set as a reward for finishing my AH English dissertation or passing my driving test (whichever happens first) and so I've just reminded myself how far away I am (I'm in 4th gear but not reverse, and I haven't started my dissertation) from finding out what the Dickens is going on (it's some kind of mock-documentary thing, but I'm yet to figure out why they're still filming while he brutally mutilates yonder wifies - possibly some kind of metaphor for society's lack of action against stuff. Actually no, it's probably just so they can have lots of gore, coupelled with mildly disconcerting looks directly into camera...and I'm not sure if he believes he's a vampire or what - the razors say 'no' but the blood drinking says 'yes'. He's probably just a very sick man, in all senses of the word.)
