• karo: I've been busy doing this Summer School for Access to Uni thing.  For the past week or two I have had at least one big essay per week(by big I mean 1500 words, so not massive but still a fair bit for a weekly essay) got one due Monday this week and another due Friday

• Triss: A group of us from the LARP society I'm part of decided to put on a role-playing convention, catering to roleplayers of all types from tabletop to LARP, so we got in a whole load of traders and people promoting their groups and stuff. There's quite a big, active RP community in the north-east, so we thought we'd tap into that. So 'Nerd East' was born!

My gripe of the day: I had to sit through two hours of UCAS form explanation meeting although I have already completed mine. Gr.

Where have you applied?

Cambridge (Corpus Christi college), Durham (St Chad's), Leeds, Glasgow and St Andrew's. Nice mix of English and Scottish. And my mum went to Leeds too, although that didn't really come into the decision.

The recession causing me to be -15 in the bank.
There being no room in the bin coz they never got taken last week.
Being unemployed and capgemini having no staff when I could quite happily do the job for half the pay.
The mess our house always seems to get in no mater how much I tidy.
Worrying about every penny spent.
My worries making me stressed out and violent.
Being so ill that every time I take a step my temperature changes.
Being so worried about the money I barely eat until Emma comes home then being to exhausted from being up all night tidying and watching movies and researching and recruiting all at the same time that I can't do anything.
No more cappuccino's to help me keep awake and no money to buy more.

Not nearly as impressive (that's not the right word. You know what I mean) as Dave's, but I have an ear infection which has totally screwed up my sense of balance. I'm fine for ages and then one sudden move and I'm holding onto the wall to stay upright. I was completely well until last night when I felt a bit funny and went to bed, only to find that everytime I moved my head or opened my eyes I got sea sick from the world swirling around.
And I felt fine this morning, but if I get up or turn around too quickly it's like my head takes a bit longer to catch up than the rest of me. Still, at least I finally understand this song:[youtube=425,350]GNr3_1f2p7k[/youtube]
