  • Triss: A group of us from the LARP society I'm part of decided to put on a role-playing convention, catering to roleplayers of all types from tabletop to LARP, so we got in a whole load of traders and people promoting their groups and stuff. There's quite a big, active RP community in the north-east, so we thought we'd tap into that. So 'Nerd East' was born! Cheesy

Today I grinned very much and made a highly bizarre squeak noise at MSB's news.

What are you going to study?

All-new Safeway bag: the MysticSafewayBagTM. Made from a multi-purpose, hyper-absorbent material which also doubles as its own towel and is 'arguably alive' according to our scientists. May also have psychic or spiritual capabilities and an uncanny ability to be an excellent forum moderator. It's IQ is thought to be exceptionally high and is thought to be capable of entering Oxbridge. Own yours today! Coming to a Safeway store near you!

Disclaimer: Safeway stores are not available in this present time-frame. Safeway takes no responsibility for any injuries caused while attempting to travel back in time to access Safeway stores. Morrison's does not stock MysticSafewayBagTMs. MysticSafewayBag not actually owned by Safeway as it has become sentient and has turned on its creators. Safeway therefore accepts no responsilibility for the MysticSafewayBagTMs behaviour, which may include mild to extreme sarcasm, unwarned censorship and/or editing and intelligent discussions.

Feel free to play spot-the-sci-fi-reference. Cheesy

I got three A's.

So did loads of other people.

Fortunately, Oxford and Cambridge use lots of other admissions criteria.

Yeah...I've got the interview to look forward to...

*terrified*

A friend of mine went for the interview last year. He said they look at your CV and ask you questions about mostly extra-curricular stuff. Just answer and you should be fine - for example he was my partner (in crime) for the debate team and got asked to justify bungee-jumping as an activity....he didn't bungee-jump, they just wanted to test his debate skills.

Actually that's just weird...and I can't remember if he got in or not.

Today I watched 3 out of the 4 episodes of ShakepeaRe-Told from a few years ago. I'd forgotten just how good they were, especially as I now know most of the cast in other roles (Hello 'Ashes to Ashes' star Keely Hawes playing Lady MacBeth opposite James McAvoy). While finishing a few jobs for my sister. Now preparing for school, which I'm back to tomorrow...such is life.

I agree, Walter is an awesome name.

Today, I decided I am going to completely rewrite Charra from scratch. It was originally going to be a trilogy, but I've decided to condense it into one novel. Wish me luck and motivation! Cheesy

Cheesy

Sept' it's a Waltress.  We knew two of the owls were female but they we couldn't tell for ages and the name had stuck by the point that we found out Walter was female lol.
