• Triss: A group of us from the LARP society I'm part of decided to put on a role-playing convention, catering to roleplayers of all types from tabletop to LARP, so we got in a whole load of traders and people promoting their groups and stuff. There's quite a big, active RP community in the north-east, so we thought we'd tap into that. So 'Nerd East' was born!

Ok as you all know I have ben trying to put video's on my I-pod.  By this I mean DVD's.

I used DVD Shrink to RIP the DVD, this went well.

I then used Movie Maker to merge the 4 movie files, this worked.

I then used a program which could convert any file to and I-pod video file(for this I used the youtube converter as I already had it).  This went well.

Then I put the converted movie file onto I-tunes and it loaded and can play right through on my pc.  By this I mean I can watch the DVD on I-tunes now.  Note their is no title menu or anything on it.  I removed these it just has the film.

But, when it goes on my I-pod(it actually loads them) the film goes for about 3 - 4 seconds before turning off.  Any of you guys got any ideas what might have caused this?

I tried searching Google but I can't find anything yet :@.

Well you know, if it was legal it would all be easy now, wouldn't it?

I don't know, did it transfer correctly onto your iPod? Could you try taking it off and putting it back on again? The only thing I can think of is that there was an error during synchronising or something.

Still, I don't endorse it - it is simpler (and on a bigger screen) if you get yourself a portable DVD player or something. I know they're expensive, but hey, Christmas is coming...

I've probably tried that most of all.  But I have some re ordering to do and I will try it after X-Factor results.

I want to laugh at them.

Forgot to mention my pc has low memory.  I am wondering if that has anything to do with it.

Actually the law on this is down to how you personally read it.  Their is a word for it but I have forgotten.  It is where one person takes a different meaning from something than someone else.  But a new law is coming out soon which makes this legal.  I looked this up before I started.

Edit:  Never worked.  It's only the Simpsons on it.  All other videos run right through.
