• Triss: A group of us from the LARP society I'm part of decided to put on a role-playing convention, catering to roleplayers of all types from tabletop to LARP, so we got in a whole load of traders and people promoting their groups and stuff. There's quite a big, active RP community in the north-east, so we thought we'd tap into that. So 'Nerd East' was born!

Was this post made before the shoutbox was removed? It was fixed, but I'll need to check no one else is receiving this and it hasn't re-occured.

Update! We're back. I had to do a clean install to make sure everything was safe, and there was a bit of panicking about being able to retrieve posts and users. In the end everything is back, though. Just working on bringing a few mods back to finish things off.

Everyone, thank you for your patience. I took much more time getting the forum back up than I had any right to - the attack chose a bad time to happen.

EDIT: If you like the brighter themes for browsing, I've added 'Kani', a very readable, stylish light theme. If you try it, let me know what you think it.

Other than no shout box and no Arcade/shop link. I love it. Really fond of the Moving orange highlight and the scroll bars on post (although spoiling the look slightly) is a nice touch. I mentioned it to Emma and she's going to have a look at it.

One other little thing is that it wont show custom bg's on your profile but I think that's mostly me who uses it

The old shout box isn't supported any more so I think Emma's planning on sticking to this one.

There's a shoutbox up in the top bar of the site, alongside your avatar. If you can't see it, what theme are you running?

Dave's posted a topic about shoutboxes, I'll be posting more info there soon.

EDIT: Trying to reinstall the old one. Too tired to troubleshoot why it's not working tonight, will try again soon.

Good to see you guys haven't deserted.

We're all back and running fine after sorting things out after the attack. I'm still trying to get a shoutbox working though, raaaah. xD

EDIT: We have a shoutbox! Feel free to let me know what you think of it either in the shoutbox or here.

I've also changed the default theme to Kani - a few people found the old theme too dark, so hopefully this one will work better for everyone. =)
