Whee, just speant a nice while doodling. Started off just practicing dynamic poses, was going to draw Shiroi, but ended up with a pretty nice pic of Ceirin, as well as a design for his personal logo. Then I remembered my tablet was broken and I couldn’t put it up, so stuck it away with my other unfinished pieces – including 2 pieces of musician fanart, and a promo image I speant ageees on for use on a signing poster, but never actually finished. XD
It was nice to draw Ceirin again, he’s a fun character (and he’s male. femme’s are hard).
I think after this I’ll go work some more on “I Caught Fire”, since that’s a fun story. XD
That’s not what this update is about, though. When my dad was out doing runs in the taxi today, he picked up an American couple and drove them on a tour round Inverness. Then this happened:
Couple: Do you have a Borders?
Dad: Yeah, it’s on the way to the airport.
Couple: Good, we need to pick up a few books.
Dad: Hm? Which ones?
Couple: Blah blah blah and “Dragon..” something.
Dad: o_o;;
Couple: It was written by a girl from Inverness, Scotland.
Dad: That’ll be “Dragon Tamers: Reality Goes Virtual”. There’s a second one too.
Couple: …
Dad: …
Dad: She’s my daughter. :D
Something like that. XD So they chatted for a while, and I’m told the couple wished me the best, and said that if I broke into the American market things would go upupup.
So yeah, thanks for the good wishes. Americaland scares the hell out of me, because I’m paranoid and whatnot and think I’ll get shot if I go over there, but there are some really, really awesome people there.
It’s funny, I’ve already heard of Canadians coming over here looking for the book, and now Americans. And yet I’ve never been to either of those places and the books don’t sell their. I wanna go visit. :'< Especially Canada. I <3 Canada. I don’t even know why.
1.11am, and I’m signing off, so g’night guys. Live for today and tomorrow, and forget there’s a dividing line.
