Best Book of September

Today, for their Road Trip Wednesday question for bloggers, YA Highway asked: What was the best book you read in September?

That award has to go to Angelfall by Susan Ee, which I reviewed yesterday. I also enjoyed reading through Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman and the Leviathan trilogy by Scott Westerfeld.

  1. I’ll have to add ANANSI BOYS to my TBR. I’ve only read one Neil Gaiman book, and I would like to read more. And I’m so glad you enjoyed the LEVIATHAN trilogy. Granted, you may not have enjoyed it as much as I did (and I do get a little fanboyish when talking about how awesome this series is..), but if you didn’t hate it, that must mean I have a modicum of good taste. :)

    1. I’d recommend reading “American Gods” before “Anansi Boys”, same universe but it’s superior (there is a horribly awkward sex scene in it, though, but it’s still a fantastic read).

I completely loved Leviathan! I really did. The mix of steampunk-ish tech and Darwinism made me very giddy, and I loved all the historical info. I’m actually having trouble putting into words how much fun I had reading it, though. I keep getting stuck on the review…
