New Year

The New Year is on the horizon, now. I’m looking forward to it – 2010 has treated me well, allowing me the chance to learn a lot of new skills at work, as well as complete my latest novel and still have plenty of time to socialize and meet some amazing new people.

We added some new members to the family! These ladies are still getting treated like queens. Speedy, hyperactive queens but royalty nonetheless. Some excellent trips to Edinburgh and Aberdeen as well, and a few attempts at learning to drive.

It wasn’t without it’s bad parts though. There was one day I can never forget. It still hurts like hell. It still sneaks up when I least expect the memories to come back…

But you’ve got to keep going.

I’ve got no real resolutions this year, but I’ve got a few guidelines I want to follow:

More blogging. I’ll be aiming to be doing a lot more reviews of books, as they’ve been popular in the past, as well as the usual comments on world events, stories from real life and photos!

I’ll be buying more books. The publishing industry isn’t at its strongest, so I’ve got to pay my dues and keep supporting it. Among my usual reference books, comic books, and popular novels I’m also going to be looking out for up-and-coming new authors.

Submitting the current novel to agents. I’ll be spending this year on the hunt for an agent. When I’m not busy polishing up the material, I’ll be working on a new novel as well. I’ve got no time to slow down!

So I’m excited about the new year ahead. Best of luck everyone, I hope good times lie ahead!
