Sleepy Road Trip Wednesday

I went to bed early last night for the first time all week, and I’m now more tired than I’ve been all week. Wednesdays are ridiculous.

What I’m Writing

Still trundling away at the WIP. Scenes are trickling in unexpectedly out of random songs and long walks. Momentum remains slow but ever-forward.

I even posted my June 2014 writing goals!

What Inspires Me

Early on Tuesday morning, I had a dream where I’d given my latest WIP to a beta reader. They kept highlighting my own in-line comments with their own notes: Cut: Self-doubt.

“This isn’t as bad as you keep trying to convince us it is,” she said.

Thanks, subconscious. That’s a bit symbolically on-the-nose, but oddly motivating…

  1. You have such pretty places to run! Featuring DEER, no less!

(I am well aware I live by the beach and therefore have no excuse to not run…)

You DO NOT SUCK. You are, in fact, a delightful and talented human being.

    1. I only started running because the office running grab dragged me along :D (And I promptly WAS TERRIBLE AT IT, but was motivated to do better and reach their level.)

Ahhhh thank you! I TRY VERY HARD NOT TO SUCK AT THINGS.

  2. I have been meaning to give running a try again for a while now. I keep saying I’m going to do it and then don’t. Boo. You have some pretty places to run, so that’s good. :-)

  3. those are some beautiful running spots! Long walks help clear my head up a lot. Glad you’re finding inspiration for you WIP!

  4. Ooh, what beautiful photos, you’re so lucky to have such a picturesque running track – mine is a treadmill at the gym, although the hot guys running in front of me aren’t exactly BAD to look at…

Have a wonderful week, Emma! :)

  5. Jealous of all the amazing places you have to run. I wouldn’t even need a zombie app to help me. Just naturally run away from the crazy, violent people we have living here. *le sigh*
