As per my yearly tradition, it’s time for an art progress recap. This one is…uh, four months overdue, because it turns out I haven’t done a year-by-year since 2015 and it took a while to dig out the art.
2018 was a fun year… I took a few chances and I’m happy with how my style is improving. It’s easy to compare myself to other 27-year-olds and feel unhappy about certain struggles I have, but hey, we all know comparison is bullshit don’t we?
In 2019, I’m hoping to explore more painterly works and some gaming sprites. I’m really looking forward to seeing how my style shifts as I get more comfortable using the iPad and Procreate and trying painterly pieces instead of my usual toony/cell-shaded style.
