For those of your following my Netherlands adventures, the planned trip is gonna be split into twooooo for magical, um, magicness. The Oslo trip is gonna be the longest, I think, at 2 days, and the Stockholm trip shorter (:'<) but including a cruise boat (:D). I do believe each trip will be at a different time.

Also, once I’m finally done catching fiiiiire (i’m a fiyastarter…), I’m supposed to go back to working on DT2. Oh god teh hard. DT2 is so oldschool now. I’d rather just look back at it with nostalgia than update it. XD But yeah, the old stuff’s always good.

So lately, I’ve been feeling lonely.

It’s just that, I read all these books and the authors have this grasp of the language and the rules and everything, and it’s so beautiful and perfect.. and then I try to do my stuff, and find myself stumbling to get around my flaws with know way of knowing what they know.

You know how you sometimes get rookie bands making friends with big bands on tour, and those bands show them the ropes and help them improve?

…I dont’ have any of that. I mean, I’d love to sit with a professional author and chat about the best way to do this and that and everything, but I don’t know anyone.

I wrote a post a few days back about Punk Ethic that I still haven’t put up, ‘cos it’s too ambitious and too much of a fantasy. But one of the plans there would stop that, ‘cos it would get authors to work togethor and support each other.

God knows there’s plenty of writers who could use support.

I just wish I had people to talk to and discuss this messy business with. Proper contacts and friends in the writing business.

Hey, for anyone intrested in the Netherlands deal, it might interest you to know that it’s all back on for next spring. The plans are still very much in progress, but right now we’re aiming for March/May, covering 3 countries – Oslo, Norway Isolated, and then Stockholm, Sweden and Helsinki/Finland combined. In Oslo, 2 days should do it, while Stockholm and Helsinki might be 4 days with a cruise ferry to go between each city. ‘S gonna be good fun, especially since Stockholm is one of those places I have to visit before I die. :D

Also, there’s been continued interest in our occasionaly-mentioned Italian friends, and there’s a chance they’ll be taking on DT. I’m a little edgy about it since I haven’t talked with the company, but apparantly they’re cool with face-to-face, e-mail and telephone interaction.

…And plus, it’s Italy. Italy is HOT. And so are the guys. :D And I’d have to go over there to sign contracts and chat and stuff. Plus points or what?

Okay, so Sarah went to her guitar lesson yesterday, and came back with instructions on how to play Green Day’s “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” (which is ridiculously simple). Her instructer gave her this handy memory prompt:
